Prep Baseball Polls: Week 4

For the first time this season, all eight No. 1s held onto the top spot in their respective classifications.

But after four weeks of play, there was movement in many classifications.

Class 7A stayed the same. But in Class 6A, former No. 3 Winder-Barrow and previous No. 2 Houston County switched places. Greenbrier and Coffee each moved up two spots to fifth and sixth respectively, while former No. 4 Allatoona and No. 5 Cambridge each fell two spots after losses last week.

Also in Class 6A, former No. 9 Glynn Academy dropped a spot, while previous No. 10 Grovetown moved up a spot to No. 9.

In Class 5A, former No. 9 and still unbeaten Carrollton jumped two spots to No. 7. Starr's Mill, the former No. 7, dropped to No. 9.

In Class 4A, Denmark and North Oconee switched spots at No. 5 and 6. Cairo moved up a position to No. 7, while West Laurens slipped a spot to No. 8. And LaGrange moved up to No. 9, while Mary Persons fell back a spot to No. 10.

Class 3A had perhaps the biggest movement. Previous No. 3 Hart County fell out after a pair of losses to Morgan County in Region 8-3A play, while former No. 6 Fannin County also fell out of the rankings.

Calhoun and Benedictine each moved up a spot to No. 3 and No. 4 respectively. Redan, the previous No. 8, jumped three spots, while last week's No. 7 Lovett moved up to No. 6. Undefeated Worth County, who made its debut last week at No. 10, moved up to No. 7. Long County at No. 8 and Cook at No. 10 moved into the rankings for the first time this season.

In Class 2A, former No. 9 Bremen moved up two spots, while former No. 7 Bleckley County fell two spots to No. 9.

In Class 1A Public, Bowdon moved up a spot to No. 8, while Telfair County slid back to No. 9.

In Class 1A Private, the top 10 remained unchanged.
