Q&A with Bremen's Brooks Hardie

Meet Brooks Hardie, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound catcher/infielder from Bremen High School. A two-sport standout who also plays football, Hardie is a member of the North Georgia Big 10 cover for the 2021 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

 

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: I never put on my batting gloves until right before I go up to bat. I also have to do the handshake after every throw down.

 

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: The Angels because of Mike Trout.

 

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Meatloaf

 

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you? 

A: I have an older brother who also went to Bremen.

 

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite teacher is coach Josh Carter and my favorite subject is math.

 

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby? 

A: Hunting and fishing.

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: Argentina to bird hunt.

 

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: Mike Trout because he is such an inspiration to the game of baseball.

 

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My father and my brother who have helped me along the way to become a better player and person.

 

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: Anything that has to do with agriculture or wildlife management.
