Q&A with Hart County's Casey Tallent

Meet Casey Tallent, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound pitcher/infielder from Hart County High School who has signed to play at Clemson. Tallent is a member of the North Georgia Big 10 cover for the 2021 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

 

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: Before a game, I always listen to music, sit in my locker and focus on what I need to do. I stretch my legs a lot.

 

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Angels or the Braves.

 

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Steak.

 

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you? 

A: I cut grass in my free time.

 

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite teachers are Coach (Josh) Osborne and Ms. Gordy. I've learned a lot from them and had fun.

 

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby? 

A: Going to the lake and going camping.

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: Paris, to see the environment and all of the cool features.

 

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: Meeting Mike Trout would be really cool.

 

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My parents and Landon Beck. They taught me a lot about baseball and how to be a man.

 

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I plan to open my own business.
