Q&A with Walton's Jared Jones

Meet Jared Jones, a 6-foot-4, 230-pound catcher/first baseman from Walton High School who has signed with LSU. Jones is a member of the Metro Atlanta Big 10 cover for the 2022 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: Each time before I hit, I stare at the logo on my bat. I also wear the same head band. 

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Longhorn Steakhouse.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you? 

A: I can solve a rubix cube.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: Mrs. Filardi - Math.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby? 

A: Hunting and fishing.

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: Paris, France. Just seems to be a cool place.

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: None.

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My dad because he got me into baseball.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: Live on a ranch with cows.
