Q&A with Saint Pius X's Will Tippett

Meet Will Tippett, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound shortstop from Saint Pius X School who has signed with South Carolina. Tippett is a member of the Metro Atlanta Big 10 cover for the 2022 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: I never step on the foul line because that brings the worst ju-ju. Also, I do my pre-at-bat to get ready and focused.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: My mom's homemade BBq pulled pork or chicken.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you? 

A: I enjoy spending a lot of time with my family.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: I have two. Mr. Ruggiero for holocaust and genocide and Mr. Broussard for British literature.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby? 

A: I love fishing and four-wheeling with my brother Bobby.

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: My dream location would be to travel to Eagle Lake, Canada to fish.

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: It would be cool to meet Chipper Jones since he was a switch-hitter like me and I could pick his brain about the offensive game.

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My father because he has taught me the value of hard-work, respect and how to approach life.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: My plan is to work in the sports industry.
