Q&A with Mountain View's Kenny Mallory

Meet Kenny Mallory, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound pitcher/outfielder from Mountain View High School who has signed to play at Vanderbilt. Mallory is a member of the North Georgia Big 10 cover for the 2021 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

 

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: I always eat hot tamales before the game.

 

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

 

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Pizza.

 

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you? 

A: I am mixed with black and white. I am not Indian.

 

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Zak and my favorite subject is science.

 

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby? 

A: Hanging out with friends.

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: I would love to go to Bora Bora just because of how amazing it looks.

 

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: Mike Trout because he is my favorite player and I would love to pick his brain.

 

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My dad because he is the one who introduced the game to me and he always knows when I have a problem or I'm struggling.

 

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I would like to become a detective.
